KENNESAW, Ga. - The North Florida bats generated their sixth-straight double-digit hit game and
Brock Edge went 4-for-4 for the second time in as many outings, but the Ospreys succumbed to Kennesaw State, 10-6, in the series opener Friday, March 25.
The Owls (14-7, 4-0 ASUN) churned out a six-run sixth inning that North Florida (9-14, 1-3 ASUN) could not bounce back from. UNF pounded out 13 hits, but 10 runners were left stranded Friday night.
Despite the loss,
Brock Edge tied
Alex Kachler for hits in consecutive at-bats with eight. Edge went 4-for-4 during the win at Florida A&M March 22. If you factor in his final at-bat during the continuation of the March 15 suspended game, played March 22, Edge is nine for his last nine, good for the North Florida program record.
At either rate, Edge etched his name into the North Florida record book as he extended his current hitting streak to seven games.
