MODEL OF EFFICIENCY
Tatiana Thompson scored nine points in 10 minutes of playing time at North Alabama, a season high for points in an ASUN game this season for the graduate transfer.
LAST TIME OUT
FLORENCE, Ala. - Despite UNF women's basketball's clinical performance in the paint, it was North Alabama's 11 three-pointers that set the Lions apart from the Ospreys (10-12, 3-7 ASUN) as North Florida dropped a 70-65 decision to UNA (9-12, 4-5 ASUN) Saturday, Feb. 5.
FREE 99
North Florida is shooting 74.3 percent from the free throw line, good for the best in the ASUN.
Jazz Bond is shooting 81.8 percent from the charity stripe this year, just 0.1 percent off her career mark. Her free throw percentage paces the leage.
SEVENTH HEAVEN
Jazz Bond was named ASUN Player of the Week for the seventh time in her UNF career after earning the honor this past week.
BLOCKADE
Jazz Bond blocked five shots at Jacksonville State. She's reached five blocks in a game 20 times during her career.
BALLING AGAINST BELLARMINE
Jazz Bond posted 17.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game to go with five swats a contest as UNF went 2-0 against Bellarmine last season.
Emma Broermann provided a lift down low, posting 12 points per contest.
UNIQUE COMBO
Jazz Bond became the UNF DI-era record holder for free throws made after making two at North Alabama Saturday. She now has 268 free throws, two more than UNF Hall of Famer Brittany Kirkland for the DI-era record. Bond is a deadeye shooter in addition to being a post player. The 6-4 forward has a UNF record 260 blocks and shoots 81.7 percent from the free throw line and 36.9 percent from beyond the arc. Both of those marks are good for third and fifth in UNF history respectively.
ON THE BRINK
One of the best to ever put on the Navy and Gray,
Jazz Bond is on the brink of becoming the North Florida DI-era record holder in a variety of categories. She currently sits atop the record books in blocks (260), defensive rebounds per game (6.1) and blocks per game (2.7).
Jazz Bond is 85 points shy of breaking the UNF DI-era record for career points. She has 1,487, behind UNF Hall of Famer Brittany Kirkland who has 1,571 for her career. Bond is 55 field goals shy of surpassing Kirkland for field goals during UNF's DI days. She is also second in UNF DI history for three-pointers with 145.
POSTING UP
While UNF only went 7-for-41 from three-point range over the two-game road swing in Alabama, North Florida outscored its opponents 76-48 in the paint. UNF put up 42 points to JSU's 26, while notching 34 down low to 22 for North Alabama.
Jazz Bond took care of business down low, posting two double-doubles. Bond averaged 16.5 points per game and 11.0 rebounds per game during the road stint in Alabama.
WIN THE TURNOVER BATTLE
