JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Down 3-2 in the bottom of the ninth, UNF got the winning run to second base with one out, but UCF (4-0) was able to close the door and record the final two outs as the Ospreys were clipped, 3-2, from Harmon Stadium Tuesday, Feb. 22.
Each of UNF's four games this season have been decided by three runs or less. Tonight, neither team led by more than two runs as relievers dueled it out on the mound. North Florida (1-3) outhit the Knights, although nine runners left on base proved to be a big difference in the game.

Behind the Line Score
- A leadoff triple by Gephry Pena off the first pitch was followed by a two-out RBI base knock up the middle off Tom Josten's bat, giving UCF a 1-0 lead after one.
- Pena followed with a solo homer to center in the top of the third.
- UNF got on the board in the third. Justin Holmes reached on a dropped third strike, moved to third on a Dallen Leach double and scored on Aidan Sweatt's second single of the game. UNF nearly evened it up on that play, but Leach was retired at the plate.
- The Ospreys evened it 2-2 in the sixth. With one out, Isaiah Byars tripled and scored one batter later on Cade Westbrook's RBI single.
- UCF went ahead 3-2 in the seventh. A hit batter, single and wild pitch allowed the Knights to regain the lead.
- The UNF bullpen continue to deal, keeping North Florida within one heading into the bottom of the ninth.
- The Ospreys threatened, getting runners to second and third with one away, but UCF reliever Ben Vespi got two punchouts to close the game.
