DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - North Florida women's basketball (2-4) bounced back in a big way against Bethune-Cookman (0-6), as the Ospreys picked up their first road win of the season, 54-43, on Thursday evening at Moore Gymnasium.
The Ospreys started the game in a defense battle with B-CU after only scoring 21 points in the first half. Scoring runs to start and finish the third quarter gave UNF a strong lead as the Ospreys never looked back after they expanded it to double-digits in the fourth.
Emma Broermann had another stellar night recording her fourth-career double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds, while shooting 7-for-10 from the field. She was balanced on the boards with six rebounds on both offense and defense, while also surpassing her season-high marks for both points and rebounds.
