CARY, N.C. - North Florida women's tennis' No. 43-ranked
Kit Gulihur dropped an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Qualifying Singles Consolation match against No. 71 Ava Markham of Wisconsin Tuesday, Oct. 4.
It was Gulihur's second singles competition against a Power Five opponent in as many days as Gulihur took on No. 64 Holly Staff of Vanderbilt yesterday in the qualifying round of 64.
Markham got the upperhand, winning 6-3, 6-2 as she moves on to face Maria Juliana Parra Romero of Liberty.
It was Gulihur's second-straight year competing in the ITA Fall Championships.
North Florida's fall campaign continues at the ITA Regionals Oct. 13 in Atlanta, Ga.
