ATLANTA - Megan Forster advanced to the ITA Southeast Regionals Singles Main Draw after a round of 16 qualifying singles straight-sets sweep of Kennesaw State's Amulika Gottiparthy Thursday, Oct. 13.
Sophomore
Isabel Oliveira also picked up a quality win in the round of 32 against Pragya Kumar of Georgia State, 6-3, 6-1. Oliveira went on to face Georgia Tech's Rosie Garcia Gross, nearly taking the first set, before coming up short 7-5, 6-1.
Forster and
Annabelle Davis battled Naya Tillet and Eden Schlagenhauf of Mercer, but were edged 8-4 in the qualifying quarterfinals.
Main draw singles play gets going tomorrow as
Kit Gulihur faces Anna Arkadianou of Florida State at 11 a.m.. Forster is slated against Lea Ma of the University of Georgia, with first serve set for 2 p.m.
