Stetson’s Big Second Quarter Haunts Women’s Basketball Saturday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's basketball (7-7, 0-2 ASUN) outscored the visiting Stetson Hatters (8-7, 1-1 ASUN) in quarters three and four, but Stetson's 19-point differential in the second frame proved to be too much to recover from as UNF dropped its ASUN home opener, 73-62, Saturday, Jan. 8.

UNF trailed by 20 at the half before posting a rampant 14-0 run out of halftime, cutting the deficit to 39-33 midway through the third. Stetson was able to cool off the Ospreys down the stretch as UNF played in its first home game since Dec. 12.

Jaida Bond scored a season-high 17 points with the help of five three-pointers and Summah Evans reached double figures with 12.
