This is the 33rd meeting between these two teams and the 27th as ASUN opponents ... FGCU won both of its meetings with the Ospreys last season in 2020-21's back-to-back format ... UNF and FGCU meet for the 19th time in Fort Myers ... North Florida and FGCU first met in 2008.

FGCU is 11-1 and is receiving votes in the latest poll ... the Eagles were picked to finish first in the ASUN Preseason Coaches Poll ... Florida Gulf Coast has picked up a number of big wins, including victories against Temple, at LSU and against Michigan State ... FGCU's lone loss this season was a home defeat against Princeton ... FGCU is 4-1 at home this year ... Kierstan Bell was tabbed ASUN Preseason Player of the Year and has nabbed three ASUN Defensive Player of the Week honors thus far ... she is second in the nation in scoring with 24.5 points per game ... FGCU leads the nation in three-pointers attempted, three-point field goals made and three-pointers per game ... Kendall Spray has made a conference-high 37 three-pointers this season ... Bell also leads the league in rebounds per game (8.4) an double-doubles (5).

NOTHING GETS PAST
In UNF's four games in December, the Ospreys racked up 29 blocks, averaging 7.3 blocks/contest. Twice the Ospreys reached 10 blocks in a game, doing so at FIU and against Bethune-Cookman, setting the UNF DI-era record while tying the program single game mark.

Jazz Bond is averaging a staggering 4.5 blocks/game during December, posting games of eight, one, four and five blocks.

UNF ranks 19th in the nation in blocks (63), 25th in blocks/game (5.2) and first in the league in both of those categories.

Jazz Bond's 34 blocks leads the league and is ninth in the nation. She has blocked 2.83 shots/game, good for the best mark in the ASUN and 12th in NCAA Division I.

SEASON OF GIVING
UNF guard Ally Knights set the tone for her season, posting 20 assists in a massive win against Trinity Baptist, good for the most assists in the NCAA since 2002. The Australia native is leading the league with 62 helpers (36th in the NCAA) and paces the ASUN with 5.2 assists/contest (37th in NCAA DI). 

Sharpshooter Rhetta Moore has a 3.14 assists/turnover ratio, good for 10th in the nation and first in the league. Knights is close behind with a 2.14 assist/turnover ratio, fourth-best in the ASUN and 74th in the NCAA.

AT THE BREAK
The score at halftime has told the fate of the final score thus far. UNF is a perfect 7-0 when leading at the break, while going 0-5 when behind at halftime.

WHOLE SQUAD READY
All 13 student-athletes on UNF's roster has seen the floor this season. In UNF's win at FAMU Dec. 30, all 11 of UNF's 11 active student-athletes for that game saw time. 

EFFICIENCY
Jazz Bond has four double-doubles this season, with her most recent coming in UNF's win Dec. 30. Bond scored 14 and brought in 10 rebounds, while registering five blocks, doing so in 23 minutes of play.
