ATHENS, Ga. - For the second time in two matches, UNF women's tennis (0-2) faced a ranked opponent as the Ospreys were blanked against No. 3 Georgia (1-0) in the opening match of the ITA Kickoff Weekend Friday, Jan. 28.
UNF opened the year at No. 20 Florida before heading to Athens to take on the number three ranked team in the nation, Georgia.
The Ospreys return to play tomorrow against another Power Five team in Iowa. First serve is set for 10 a.m. from Athens.
How it Happened
Georgia won at slots two and three to take doubles.
Kit Gulihur and
Isabel Oliveira put up a battle against UGA's top doubles pair. Their match was left unfinished at 4-3.
UNF had the difficult task of going up against five ranked singles players in the next stage of play, with three being ranked in the top 35.
UGA swept the top four slots to close out the match.
