Coach Lucas' Comments
"Tough one today. Miami persevered at 2 and 3 doubles. We had set points and didn't put them away. We should have been up 1-0, and that's on us. After that disappointing doubles loss, I thought we regrouped really well in the beginning of singles. We served for the set on three courts and had set points on another. When you don't take your opportunities against ACC opponents their confidence grows and we ran an uphill race from there. With the doubles point and 3 or 4 first sets of singles, it's a different match, but we didn't do the little things necessary in those pivotal moments to close them out. Our level is there, now it's on these guys to believe in themselves when they are in winning positions. "
