LYNCHBURG, Va. - Carter Hendricksen scored a quick eight points to start the second half, cutting Liberty's lead to four, but the Flames (11-6, 2-0 ASUN) went on a run and didn't look back as UNF men's basketball dropped a road game at Liberty Arena, 71-56, Tuesday, Jan. 11.

- The first half was a defensive struggle … teams combined to go just 5-for-22 from beyond the arc … UNF trailed by just a bucket for most of the first frame, but Liberty was unrelenting in getting to the free throw line, going 16-for-18 from the line … UNF (4-12, 0-3 ASUN) forced nine turnovers, while committing just two in the first frame … Carter Hendricksen and Jarius Hicklen had 5 points apiece.
2nd Half
- Hendricksen found his rhythm at the start of the second half, scoring eight points in the first four minutes and 10 seconds, helping cut Liberty's lead to four at 38-34 … Liberty followed that up quickly by going on a 10-0 run to create a 48-34 lead at the 13:03 mark, the largest lead for either team up to that point … the Flames hung to its lead the rest of the way to notch their 43rd consecutive home win.
