JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - UNF women's basketball goes on the road for a conference test at 14-1 Liberty Wednesday, Jan. 12 from Lynchburg, Va. It's a rematch of two teams who met in the 2020-21 ASUN Championship Semifinals last March.

UNF and Liberty meet for the ninth time in series history ... all meetings have come within the las three seasons ... UNF and Liberty first faced off January 19, 2019 ... North Florida women's basketball was hampered by turnovers and cold shooting as second-seeded Liberty grabbed the 65-52 lead in the ASUN semifinal game Friday evening at the KSU Convocation Center.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
Liberty is 14-1 this season ... the Flames are 8-1 at home, with their lone loss coming to Memphis Nov. 23, a two-point defeat ... Liberty has defeated teams including Ohio, James Madison, Navy, Bowling Green, Virginia Tech and Grand Canyon among others ... Liberty's two conference wins came against Stetson and Kennesaw State ... Liberty opened ASUN pay with a 65-49 win at Stetson ... Liberty has won 14-consecutive home games against ASUN Conference opponents and are 20-1 against conference opponents at Liberty Arena ... Liberty just played its 50th game in the ASUN ... the Flames share the ball well, dishing out 263 assists, good for 1st in the league and 6th nationwide ... Liberty's +12.3 rebounding margin paces the way in the ASUN ... Liberty is holding opponents to 49 points per game, the 5th-best mark in the nation ... Mya Berkman paces the team with 13.7 points per game and 6.7 rebounds per contest ... nine different Flames players score at least four points per game.
