FORT WORTH, Texas - Four Ospreys reached double figures in kills for the first time since October of 2019 in UNF's 3-1 win against Louisiana Tech Friday, Sept. 10. North Florida also had four players reach double-digit digs as the Navy and Gray overcame a one-set deficit to close out its stay at the Fight in the Fort.
The Ospreys return home with an 8-1 record heading into the UNF Sunshine Tournament with Middle Tennessee State, FIU and Seton Hall.

Inside the Sets
- Set 1: The Ospreys used an early run for a 5-1 lead … the Lady Techsters took their first lead at 9-8 .. from there the lead ebbed back and forth … UNF took a 23-22 lead, although La Tech created two set points … UNF evaded both to create a 26-26 tie before the Lady Techsters took the first frame … Kailey McKnight, Anna Butler and Dariana Hollingsworth-Santana all had four kills.
- Set 2: A 7-2 run by the Ospreys fueled a mid-set lead that UNF didn't relinquish … McKnight had a 3-0 run on her own during that span … Louisiana Tech stormed back into the set, cutting its deficit to 20-18, pushing UNF to take a timeout … the Ospreys hit .134 points higher than the Lady Techsters, winning the second frame by five.
- Set 3: A crucial third set went down to the wire … LA Tech got out to a 10-6 lead before UNF rattled off a 5-0 run on a Louisiana Tech service error, attack error, two Hollingsworth-Santana kills and one from Maddie Boyd … UNF held a slim margin until the set was evened, 18-18 … up 23-20, LA Tech posted two points, but Bre Walp came back with consecutive kills to seal the set.
- Set 4: Both teams traded blows early … UNF took hold of the fourth frame by turning in a 4-0 run, making it 10-7 Ospreys … Amy Burkhardt and McKnight added a kill apiece while the Lady Techsters suffered two errors … another run, this time a 5-0 spurt, helped seal the session … UNF hit a match high .421, committing just three errors.
