ATLANTA – North Florida men's soccer open up their season in electric fashion on Thursday evening with a 3-1 victory against Georgia State.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- UNF took control of the match early after senior Jovoney Brown scored the opening goal in the third minute set up by junior Herbie Steigelman.
- Brown had another opportunity to score in the 30th minute with his second shot on goal, but it was saved by the GSU goalkeeper.
- The Ospreys struck again before the half when freshman Joaquin Acuna executed on a penalty kick right down the middle to expand the lead to two goals.
- GSU was able to respond in the second half with a goal of their own in the 70th minute, but the Ospreys quickly returned the favor with another successful penalty kick goal from senior Mirza Nevoric in the 83rd minute to put the game away.
