How it Happened
- FGCU had runs in the first two innings for a 2-0 lead.
- In the bottom of the second, Shannon Glover led off with a double and moved over on an out before an RBI groundout from Logan Jackson made it a 2-1 game.
- The Eagles then scored another run with the aid of an error for a 3-1 advantage.
- North Florida scored in the fifth on Taylor Engman's sac fly, but despite loading the bases, FGCU got the last batter looking.
- From there, Taylor Bauman sat the Ospreys down in order in the sixth and gave up just one hit in the seventh to secure the save.
Notes
- Glover and Paige Pfent had two hits on the day.
- Arends got the start, but Morgan Clausen replaced her in the third. Clausen tossed 5.0 innings with three hits, one unearned run and four strikeouts.
