JACKSONVILLE - North Florida softball bounced back from a loss in the opening game, 6-2, to grab a 3-1 win against Stetson in game two on a rainy, windy Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened
- Stetson struck in the first and third for a 2-0 lead.
- The Ospreys answered in the bottom of the third when Brittany Sundermeier ran home on a caught stealing to make it 2-1.
- North Florida then tied the game with three straight singles before a ground out allowed a run to score for a tie game.
- Unfortunately it was all the home team could muster as a four-run sixth put the game in the Hatters' favor for the 6-2 lead.
- Seven total Ospreys recorded a hit and pitcher Halle Arends tallied five strikeouts in the loss.

How it Happened
- North Florida opened the game with a run when a fielder's choice to short stop was misplayed by the Hatters and allowed Paige Pfent to come around and score. Pfent reached on a single.
- The Ospreys then added another run in the first on Abi Annett's double to bring in Shannon Glover who also reached on a single.
- Stetson had a sac fly in the third to cut into the lead and then weather started brewing.
- After about an hour delay for lightning and rain, the teams came back to the field.
- North Florida was ready to go home as it Pfent sent a 1-0 pitch over the right field fence for the 3-1 lead.
- Clausen had back-to-back 1-2-3 innings in the fifth and sixth and the Osprey defense turned a double play in the final frame to end any threat. Clausen finished a complete game with four hits, one run, two walks and two strikeouts.
OF NOTE
- Pfent was 4-for-7 with a double and home run.
- Harper was 3-for-6 with a stolen base.
- Glover, Annett and Taylor Engman all had multiple hits on the day.
