FORT MYERS, Fla. - UNF Volleyball (6-7, 5-2 ASUN) led in about every facet of the game as it swept FGCU (7-2, 5-2 ASUN) on the road Saturday, March 6.
It's the first time in program history the Ospreys have won at FGCU, and also the first time UNF has taken two matches in the same season against the Eagles. With the win UNF moves into a tie for first in the ASUN South Division.
FGCU has been held below .200 hitting just twice this year, both times coming against UNF.

Inside the Sets
- Set 1: Tied 19-19, UNF closed out the set on a 6-2 run … the Ospreys put up six aces in the first session and received three kills from Kailey McKnight, who also clinched the frame with a kill … both teams hit .200 in the first set, but FGCU had eight attack errors.
- Set 2: UNF got off to a 3-0 start … A marathon rally helped out by a big save from Logan O'Brien ended with a Gabby O'Connell kill for a 6-3 lead … FGCU got within two, but a 3-0 run on kills from O'Connell and McKnight and a Rocio Moro ace made it 17-12 … FGCU cut into UNF's lead, making it 21-20 … Solimar Cestero caught fire to close the set for UNF ... UNF finished on a 5-1 run.
- Set 3: A .600 hitting percentage allowed UNF to race out to a 15-12 lead, forcing an FGCU timeout … the Ospreys led wire to wire, hitting a scorching .486.
