JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida combined for 21 hits across two games to take down Florida A&M, 8-0 in five and taking a 5-2 win in the night cap against USC Upstate.

How it Happened
- North Florida pushed one across in the opening frame when Taylor Engman, who reached on a walk, stole second and moved around on a pair of groundouts for the 1-0 lead.
- In the third, a leadoff walk for Kayla Harper and a stolen base put a runner in scoring position. Engman then singled through the left side to allow Harper to score.
- With just one out, Engman moved to third on a groundout before scoring on Paige Pfent's single for a 3-0 lead.
- The Ospreys added three more runs in the bottom of the fourth on hits from Engman, McGory and Glover for the 6-0 advantage.
- UNF wrapped things in the fifth with Brittany Sundermeier sending a one-out single up the middle. She then came around to score on Engman's hit to right field.
- The Ospreys scored the game-ending run on what was an attempted sacrifice fly before a catcher obstructed Harper who was trying to come home on the fly ball. The umpire called the catcher in the baseline to end the game, 8-0.

How it Happened
- In the third, sophomore Shannon Glover smacked a one-run two-out homer to score the first run of the game.
- With two-outs, Pfent earned a walk before Logan Jackson hit a double to put two runners in scoring position. Ashley Goebel then hit a single up the middle to plate the runners and give UNF a 3-0 lead.
- In the next inning, the Ospreys used three straight hits to load the bases before Glover sent a single down the right field line to score two for a 5-0 game.
- Halle Arends went 6.1 innings with 4 hits and 4 strikeouts before Morgan Clausen came in relief. Clausen shut the Spartans down with a pair of strikeouts and one hit in her 0.2 innings to close out the game.
Notes
- Against the Rattlers, Engman was perfect at the dish with three hits, three RBI and three runs scored and a walk. McGory and Glover reached recorded two RBI.
- For the day, Jackson hit .600 going 3-for-5 and earning a walk.
- Clausen finished with 4.2 innings pitched with four hits and eight strikeouts.
- All nine batters to see the plate had at least one hit.
