MARIETTA, Ga. - North Florida women's basketball used a team effort behind five double-figure scorers as it took down sixth-seeded North Alabama to advance to its fourth straight ASUN women's basketball semifinal game with an 86-74 victory Thursday at KSU's Marietta Campus Gymnasium.
UNF improves to 6-10 in ASUN Championship play and 2-0 against North Alabama in head-to-head postseason play. North Alabama concludes its season with a 7-18 record.

North Florida used a 27-6 run in the third quarter to take its biggest lead of the game, 68-45, to put the game out of reach for the Lions. Sylvester scored eight of her 14 points during the stretch including a three-point play to cap the rally.
INSIDE THE GAME
- The first quarter saw three lead changes and four ties with North Alabama holding the slight 24-21 edge.
- The lead was short lived as North Florida quickly took the lead in the second quarter and never looked back. UNF used a 12-0 run to lead 35-26 with 5:08 left in the second quarter.
- North Alabama closed the frame on a 7-2 run to pull within 41-37 at the half, but it was the closest the team got.
- UNF went on an 18-1 run and eventually a 27-6 run to help the Ospreys outscore UNA, 29-11, in the third.
- The Lions made a push late in the game as North Florida went cold from the floor, but 77-64 was the tightest the game was.

- UNF totaled 10 three pointers in the contest as Moore and Jones each knocked down four. UNF hit 10 triples for the first time since February 21.
- North Florida capitalized on 20 UNA turnovers with 25 points.
- The Ospreys posted their best finish in ASUN history to earn the No. 3 seed for the first time in postseason play.

Third-seeded North Florida advances to the ASUN Semifinal Friday, March 12 on ESPN+ to face No. 2 Liberty at 7 PM. North Florida looks to make its first appearance in the ASUN Championship Final since 2010 when they faced ETSU.
