JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's tennis 19-match home win streak was snapped Wednesday by No. 24 Furman. The Paladins won 5-2, sweeping doubles and winning four singles matches. 

In doubles, Furman got the first win on court two, with Madison Dillon and MaryAnn Rompf downing Lucia Montano and Constanza Gorches, 6-1.

In the one slot, No. 27 Katarina Kozarov and Julia Adams snapped Catherine Gulihur and Ana Paula Melilo's 8-0 win streak. Furman defeated UNF 6-2, clinching the doubles point.

Valentina Mariotto and Sean Lodzki fought hard on court three but dropped the decision 6-4 to Maggie Pate and Ellie Schoppe. 

The Paladins kept their hot streak into singles, taking a 2-0 lead with a win on court five. Pate swept Mariotto, 6-1, 6-2, in the victory. 

Melilo snagged a point for the Ospreys to make the score 2-1 with a 6-4, 6-3, win over Dillon on court three. Furman stretched its lead to 3-1, downing Gorches 6-2, 6-4 in the four slot. 

No. 84 Montano dropped the match on court one 4-6, 4-6, to No. 15. Kozarov, clinching the win for the Paladins. 

Gulihur picked up North Florida's second win of the day with a hard fought victory in the two slot. The junior transfer edged Adams 7-6, 7-5.

Summer Yardley took her match in court six to three sets. She won the first set 6-4, dropped the second 1-6, and lost the third 4-6 against Schoppe. 

The Ospreys travel to Orlando, Fla., Saturday for a match at UCF.
