JACKSONVILLE - North Florida returns to UNF Arena to face league-leading Liberty Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. Prior to Saturday's game, the Ospreys will recognize Jazz Bond for her 1,000 career points at UNF.

FIVE THINGS TO KNOW

  • Jazz Bond became the first UNF player to be a three-time ASUN player of the week when she scored 35 points and hit the game-winning three against North Alabama. She also recorded her 1,000 career point in a UNF uniform with her second basket Sunday in the win.
  • North Florida swept North Alabama for the first time in series history with the two wins. Five of the six meetings have been decided by seven points or less.
  • In ASUN games, North Florida is second in total points, 3PTM/gm and assists/game, while ranking first in blocks/game and 3PT%.
  • The Ospreys continue to rank in the top 50 in the NCAA several three-point categories including 10th in three-pointers made with 143. UNF is 12th in three-pointers per game (9.5) and 16th in attempts (392).
  • Marissa Mackins is just one three-pointer behind Kierstan Bell (FGCU) with 41 makes and ranks 23rd in Division I in three-pointers made. She is also 28th in 3PT percentage with a 44.6 percent clip.

SCOUTING THE
OPPONENT
  • Riding an 11-game winning streak, ASUN leader Liberty (12-3, 8-0 ASUN) comes to UNF. The home team has won all five previous contests in the head-to-head series.
  • Leading scorer Emily Lytle (14.1 ppg) enters the weekend 31 points shy of 1,000 for her career and Ashtyn Baker is on the cusp with 979 points. She is averaging 12.9 ppg.
  • The 2020-21 season marks Liberty's third year as ASUN Conference members. The Lady Flames spent the previous 27 seasons (1991-92 through 2017-18) in the Big South Conference, winning 16 regular-season titles and 17 tournament championships.
