FGCU had a 33-7 run inside the second quarter to lead 58-17 with just over a minute left in the first half. The Eagles outscored UNF, 33-9 in the second quarter. It was the most points in quarter from any team this season.
INSIDE THE GAME
- North Florida got as close as 9-5 on a triple from Moore, but FGCU controlled the rest of the quarter going on a 20-7 run to lead 29-12 after one.
- In the second, the home team outscored UNF 33-9 to take a dominating 62-21 lead into the half. The 62 points in the opening half are the most for any opponent this season against UNF.
- UNF stayed tight with the Eagles in the third quarter, outscoring them 14-13. Tiffany Tolbert and Marissa Mackins both hit triples during the frame.
- From there, FGCU eventually ballooned its lead to more than 50 to take the game.
Osprey Fast Breaks
- The Eagles dominated the inside, chipping in 52 points in the paint compared to UNF's 20.
- FGCU also capitalized on 19 UNF turnovers with 21 points.
- North Florida struggled from the line, hitting just 6-of-16.
