JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida softball grabs a pair of wins against Georgia Southern, 6-5 and 3-2 Saturday at the UNF Softball Complex. The Ospreys move to 4-5 on the year, while GS falls to 1-7.

How it Happened
- Back-to-back errors on Taylor Engman and Kayla McGory's at bats allowed two runners to reach base. McGory then stole second to put runners in scoring position. A groundout allowed Engman to come home for the 1-0 lead.
- The next inning, Brittany Sundermeier had a sac fly to score Ashley Goebel who hit a double to lead off the inning.
- Georgia Southern scored on an RBI double for a 2-1 game in the third.
- In the fourth, Sundermeier had her second RBI, scoring Goebel who reached on a hit. McGory then doubled down the line to score Engman and Sundermeier. A final hit from Shannon Glover brought in McGory for the 6-1 lead.
- The Eagles were not done as they added runs to their line in the fifth and seventh to make it a 6-5 game.
- In the seventh, Georgia Southern was trying to get the tying run, but the Osprey defense created a successful outfield relay to get the runner at home and close down the inning.

How it Happened
- In game two, Georgia Southern struck first with a pair of runs in the first, aided by two errors.
- The Eagles held the lead until the fifth inning as the Ospreys had back-to-back one-out singles to put runners on. Rebecca Koskey then hit a single to left field to score one before a sac fly from Sundermeier allowed another to cross to tie the game at 2-2.
- In the final inning, Goebel led off with a single before moving to second on a Koskey single. A walk then loaded the bases for Engman to win the game with a sac fly and secure the sweep.
Notes
- Arends tallied 10 strikeouts on the week while posting a 0.57 ERA.
- Goebel had six total hits and scored five runs.
- McGory brought in six total runs in the three-game series including the walk off RBI in a 5-4 game in nine innings Friday.
