  • UF scored one in the first. Jacob Young single to left center and stole second. Jud Fabian singled to left, pushing Young up 90 feet. Nathan Hickey tapped one to pitcher Ethan Jones that UNF was able to get Young on as he attempted to go home. Fabian took third before Jordan Butler plated him with a sac fly.
  • UNF evened it, 1-1, in the bottom of one. With two outs, Alex Kachler legged out an infield single, Tanner Clark singled through the right side and Blake Marabell walked. Cade Westbrook rolled a grounder to Colby Hatler in the hole at second, but Halter couldn't handle it, scoring Kachler.
  • UF took the lead in the third. Hickey singled up the middle, moved up on a groundout and scored on a Butler single back up the box.
  • The Gators went up, 5-1, in the fourth thanks to a three-run triple to the right center gap from Halter. A single, walk and fielding error preceded the bases clearing two-out hit.
  • Sequera tagged a solo home run to straightaway left in the bottom of five, cutting the deficit to 5-2. One batter later, Austin Bogart doubled down the left field line, stole second and scored on a Clark sac fly.
  • A three-run top of the seventh gave UF an 8-3 lead. A single and walk pushed Stephen Halstead in to pitch for Darin Kilfoyl. Halstead fanned one but a walk and fielder's choice groundout coaxed in one.
  • Jared Young doubled to right center scoring one, although another came in as the ball was mishandled in right center.
  • UF completed its scoring in the ninth. Young doubled and Fabian singled through the left side to score him.
  • UNF's late rally came in the ninth. Justin Holmes singled through the left side, Aidan Sweatt tripled him home and Sequera hit a two-run home run. UF worked a pair of flyouts to end it.
