PRESZN BALLERS
The Ospreys reached new heights in the ASUN Preseason Rankings. UNF reached No. 2 in the preseason polls for the first time in UNF DI history, while also attaining a third-place position in the media poll.

Reigning ASUN Defensive Player of the Year, Jazz Bond, was recognized as the ASUN Preseason Defensive Player of the Year.

Jazz isn't the only "Bond" on the roster this year, as she is joined by sister Jaida Bond. Jaida was also an ASUN Preseason All-Conference pick after attaining second team laurels last year and ASUN All-Freshman honors in 2019-20.

FLORIDA FUN
UNF plays 13 home games and 20 total games in the state of Florida this year, giving the Ospreys over half of their games within the Sunshine State.

The Ospreys play at Florida State, FIU, Miami, FAMU, FGCU, Jacksonville and Stetson for road games in Florida.

UNRELENTING
Rhetta Moore and Jaida Bond return as two of the top three gym rats in the ASUN from a year ago. Moore finished third in the league with 35.2 minutes played per game, while Bond paced the ASUN with 36.5.

MARKSMEN
UNF led the ASUN and finished 18th in three-point field goal percentage a year ago. The Ospreys had three players finish in the top five in that category, with another being Jaida Bond, a current Osprey.

Erin Jones led the league with a 43.8 percent mark. The Ospreys finished 10th in the nation with 238th three-point field goals last year, a program record.

STALWARTS
UNF plays a program-record five games against Power Five schools in one season.

The Ospreys go to FSU (Nov. 9), Clemson (Nov. 24), Auburn (Nov. 30), Georgia (Dec. 8) and Miami (Dec. 21).

SEASONED VETS
The Ospreys' 13-player roster combines to have 609 total games of experience at the Division I level returning this year.

NEWBIES
North Florida's three newcomers are Jaida Bond, Britnay Gore and Kaila Rougier

Jaida Bond is no stranger to the ASUN Conference after becoming an everyday starter and all-conference pick at North Alabama.

Britnay Gore, a native of Antigua, Caribbean, is a transfer from Penn State. She dominated at Cleveland State Community College before heading up to Happy Valley.

Rougier from up I-95 where she attended Beach High School in Savannah, Ga. The lefty was a dominant scorer, pouring in 22.0 points/game.

WELCOME BACK
Former UNF Women's Basketball Director of Operations, Charlsea Clark, returns to the sidelines as assistant coach. Clark comes from Bishop Kenny HS in Jacksonville where she was a highly successful head coach.

Clark played collegiately at Flagler College in St. Augustine.

RECORD WATCH
Forward Jazz Bond has taken over the UNF record books since coming to UNF as a transfer from USF. The 6-4 player from Murfreesboro, Tenn., comes into the season as the UNF all-time leader in blocks, while also eyeing the scoring record at 500-points short of the UNF DI-era for total points.

She needs 122 blocks to break the conference record for blocked shots, and is only 0.9 points/game shy of the UNF DI-era points/game record.

YEAR SEVEN
Head coach Darrick Gibbs is back for his seventh season with the Ospreys. Gibbs has settled in to create one of the most consistent programs in the league.

Last season Gibbs helped lead the Ospreys to a program-high 11 wins in ASUN play. UNF's offense was as high powered as they come, reaching 71.7 points/game, a UNF DI-era record.

MORE, MOORE
Rhetta Moore returns for a fifth year after becoming the first ASUN Scholar-Athlete of the Year in UNF Women's Basketball history. The guard was also named to the ASUN All-Tournament team.
