Volleyball's Historic Run Comes Up Short in ASUN Championship Semifinals

FORT MYERS, Fla. - North Florida volleyball (24-7) bowed out of the ASUN Championship Semifinals after falling to number-one overall seed FGCU (25-5) on the road Friday, Nov. 19.

The Ospreys suffer just their seventh loss of the season, moving to 24-7 on the season, UNF's winningest season in North Florida Division-I history. 

It was the eighth-consecutive ASUN Championship reached by the Ospreys, and third time UNF has reached the semifinals.

  • Set 1: Julianna Askew posted an ace to start the set as UNF got ahead early, up 5-3 … Anna Butler posted five kills, although the Eagles only committed three attack errors to take the opening frame.
