The Short Story: Jose Placer had a breakout performance with 25 points and Carter Hendricksen collected his first double-double of the year in a hard fought 72-63 loss on Monday night at Arizona State.

- Jose Placer finished with a season high 25 points and 6 assists, while connecting on four three-pointers to lead all scorers | Placer had missed his first 11 three-point attempts entering tonight's game
- Carter Hendricksen chipped in 14 points and 10 boards for his 7th career double-double

NOTABLE MOMENTS
- The Ospreys blasted out of the gates, grabbing a 16-4 advantage over the first six minutes of the game | Five different players scored during the run that included treys by Emmanuel Adedoyin, Dorian James, Jose Placer and Carter Hendricksen
- Arizona State fought its way back into the contest, using a 14-6 surge midway through the period to close the gap to two points (20-18)
- North Florida would maintain a lead for nearly the entire first 20 minutes of action, but a jumper in the closing seconds gave ASUN a slim 39-37 lead at intermission
- After trading baskets for several possessions at the start of the second half, UNF went nearly eight minutes with a field goal allowing the Sun Devils to build a double digit margin (56-46) with about eight minutes on the clock
- Placer would drill a side-dribble three-pointer to spark a 12-4 spurt for the Ospreys that trimmed the deficit to just two points (60-58) with 3:49 remaining | Placer (5 pts) and Hendricksen (5 points) were key contributors in the rally
- With two minutes on the clock and the score 64-61 in favor of ASU, Marreon Jackson connected on a pair of deep three-pointers to secure the victory for the Sun Devils
 
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
- Placer had scored just 21 points over the Ospreys first three games before his 25 point effort against ASU
- Hendricksen's double-double was the first by a UNF player since he did it versus Kennesaw State last year (16 pts/10 rebs)
- Game marked the program's first ever versus a team from the PAC 12 | Ospreys will play another PAC 12 squad in their next game (UCLA) on Wednesday
- The 12 turnovers were a season low for North Florida
