  • Central Michigan went ahead 3-0 after the top of the third. Zach Heeke and Jakob Marsee singled up the middle before Drew Lechnir bunted them over. Garrett Navarra singled off Dominick Madonna's outstretched hand on a ground ball, scoring one. Madonna made an errant pickoff attempt, scoring Marsee before Zavier Warren drove in one more with another single up the middle.

  • The Chippewas benefited from five singles, a double, three walks and an error to score 10 runs in the fifth.
  • Back-to-back singles, a productive out from Tanner Clark and a sharply hit two-RBI roller off the CMU first baseman scored Trey Spratling-Williams and Jered Geis in the bottom of the seventh.
  • The Chippewas completed their scoring with two runs on three hits and a sac fly in the eighth.
  • Marabell plated Libunao again in the eighth, driving in his teammate with a chopper through the left side.
