Behind the Line Score
  • Both teams were trading zeros, in part thanks to Chris Matthias' home run rob of Dillon Dingler in the third.
  • North Florida put up two in the bottom of the third. Raff Libunao reached on an infield single and moved up to second on an Abraham Sequera pop fly that was misplayed by Sam Wilson in left. Zach West singled over the shortstop's head to score Libunao for the 1-0 lead. After a strikeout, Tanner Clark hooked an RBI single to right.
  • After Logan Clayton stranded the bags loaded in the fifth, Clark launched a three-run home run into the shrubbery in right field, scoring West and Marabell.
  • The Buckeyes plated four in the sixth, highlighted by Dillon Dingler's three-run home run to left.
  • UNF responded with another run in the sixth, stemming the momentum. Grodi walked, took second on a pitch in the dirt and scored on a Jeslyn Whitehead single through the right side.
  • OSU took advantage of a walk and a balk to pull within one in the seventh.
  • With Miller settling in, North Florida widened the lead with three runs in the bottom of the eighth, ignited by a leadoff double from Tanner May atop the frame.
  • Grodi put down a bunt single after May's double and Matthias legged out an infield single to shortstop, scoring May. After a Libunao sac bunt, Whitehead proved clutch again, singling down the right field line for two-RBI.
