HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Panthers got on the board after a give and go pass put the ball in perfect position for Ronaldo Marshall to corral the ball. After backing off defenders, he slipped the ball to Xavi Olmos who came in the box on the left side and sent it into the back of the net.
- North Florida evened the score in the second half as
Robbie Soronellas sailed a perfectly placed corner kick into the box.
Zane Bubb jumped up and headed the ball right into the net for the 1-1 game.
- The Ospreys nearly went up in the 80th minute when
Jake Hawker fired a shot at the net, but it bounced off the keeper and back to
Taylor Martin. Unfortunately, Martin's shot went left and kept the score knotted.
- Neither team could capitalize on their chances in extra time as North Florida held the edge in the first overtime, while FIU owned a 4-1 edge in shots in the second.
QUICK KICKS

-

-
Mirza Nevoric tried to even the game in the 41st minute when

- In the 51st minute, redshirt junior
Cormac Begley had a stellar shot from the left side of the box, but FIU keeper Daniel Gagliardi picked it up.
- North Florida outshot its opponent for the fourth straight game, 12-9, including a dominating 6-2 second half advantage. Nevoric led the team with three shots, while Hawker, Bubb and
LJ Estes each had two attempts.
FROM THE MOUTH OF MARINATOS
"From our standpoint it was a great game and a draw on the road against a top 25 team. I thought we wasted the first 25 minutes and we weren't quite ourselves then our guys found their legs. It was unfortunate to not be tied in the first half. Obviously they scored a nice goal, but we came back and overall I thought we dominated the game especially in the second half. I thought they had just one other good luck and Carlos came up with the save. I am really proud of our team - especially in the second half and I thought we were superior. And to go on the road and get a draw against a top 25 team - I am just proud of our team. Now we have to turn around and get our bodies ready to start ASUN play on Saturday."
