HOW IT HAPPENED

- Presbyterian struck first getting a goal in the 15th minute when Preston Robinette capitalized on a free kick just outside the box
- In the closing five minutes of the first stanza, North Florida posted the equalizer in minute 42 as Vanessa Piermont took a pass from newcomer Carmel Oliviera and curled a shot across the goal to beat the PC keeper and send the Ospreys into intermission with some momentum
- UNF leading scorer Thais Reiss extended her goal scoring streak to three matches after converting a penalty kick in the 57th minute that gave the Ospreys a 2-1 advantage
- Reiss collected her second goal of the match and fourth of the season in the 78th minute when she settled a rebound off a corner kick and slipped the shut just under the crossbar
- North Florida finished the match with an 18-5 shot margin including and 11-2 edge during the decisive second half | SOG: UNF 12 - PC 1
- Ospreys forced nine saves from Blue Hose keeper Megan Serrano, while using a strong defense that allowed only one shot on goal in the match

FAULCONER TALK
"We got off to a slow start in some pretty tough conditions in regard to the heat. For the second week in a row, we had a 'Big Five' moment with Vanessa Piermont's goal inside five minutes to go before halftime. That was a huge momentum boost for our team. I thought we settled down in the second half and created some more chances. We were also cleaner defensively after the half. It won't show in the boxscore but I thought Sophia Thompson was a real bright spot for us today. She won a lot of 50/50 and second balls. She was clean with the ball in the middle third of the field. The match wasn't pretty, but we will take it and focus on Sunday." - Head coach Eric Faulconer
