FORT MYERS, Fla. - Liberty took advantage of a few defensive miscues as the Flames topped North Florida softball, 4-0, in the second game of the ASUN Tournament Thursday morning at the FGCU Softball Complex.
After waiting through rain delays for North Alabama and Lipscomb, the Ospreys await their opponent as the Lions and Bisons resume on Friday at 8 a.m. The second game is slated for 9 a.m. before North Florida plays its game at 11:30 a.m.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Liberty and North Florida went back and forth through five complete innings.
- The Ospreys threatened in the fourth and fifth innings with runners in scoring position, but each time Liberty closed it down.
- The Flames took advantage of two errors in the sixth and plated four runs on one hit and two walks.
- Liberty hurler DiMartino tossed a shutout, with three of her four hits coming from Navia Penrod.
