DeLAND, Fla. - Less than an hour prior to the first pitch between North Florida (32-25) and Liberty (39-19) in the ASUN Championship Loser's Bracket Semifinal game Friday, May 24, Jacksonville and Stetson completed a 16-inning affair.
Playing suit to the extra-inning mayhem of the tournament, UNF and Liberty had its own extra-inning battle, playing into the 12th inning. But when it was all said and done, second-seed Liberty walked off on the five-seeded Ospreys via a sac fly.

Behind the Line Score
- David Maberry's hot hitting put UNF ahead, 1-0, in the third. After walks to Tanner May and Tanner Clark, a failed sac bunt led into a fielder's choice off the bat of Tanner Murphy. Maberry picked up the Ospreys with a two-out RBI single in the gap.
- Liberty took a 2-1 lead in the fifth. Cam Locklear took a curveball through the left side for a single before being bunted over by Brandon Rohrer. Jaylen Guy singled to center and Grey Betts drove in Locklear with a sac fly to left. Jonathan Embry gave the Flames the 2-1 lead with a double to right center.
- UNF got its own sac fly to tie it at 2-2 in the sixth. Murphy laced a single up the middle before Maberry continued his hot hitting with a single down the right field line, pushing Murphy to third. Jay Prather scored Murphy with a sac fly to left.
- The Ospreys evaded trouble in the sixth. Liberty got runners at first and second after a dropped third strike and a single to left. Brandon Reitz departed and Eddie Miller entered before walking Rohrer and getting Guy to pop out to Blake Marabell in left.
- UNF had their own chance in the eighth after Chris Berry led off with a single through the right side and stole second. Murphy flied out to center and Mason Meyer got Prather to go down swinging after an intentional walk to Maberry. Noah Skirrow came out of his starting role to relieve, getting Weeks to go down on a five-unassisted groundout.
- Miller danced around Betts' leadoff single in the 10th, getting outs on a sac bunt, strikeout and foul out.
- UNF had its best chance the rest of the way in the 11th inning when Alex Hendricks reached on a infield single to start the inning. Hendricks came in earlier in the game to run for David Maberry. Liberty got the next three outs on a sac bunt and a pair of groundouts.
- Errors loomed large in the 12th, beginning when Betts reached on a fielding error at short to start the frame. Embry put down a bunt, although the throw to retire him at first was mishandled, allowing Betts to take third and Embry advance to second. Tyler Galazin was intentionally walked before Prather fielded a sharply hit Logan Mathieu grounder before spinning and retiring Betts at home with a throw to catcher, Tanner Clark. Will Wagner drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly, the third of the game.
