HOW IT HAPPENED
- UCF scattered six runs across four innings thanks to six extra base hits.
- A double from Ornelas in the first scored two runs before the Knights took a 3-0 lead on Jazmine Esparza's single in the third.
- The home team scored again on a timely double from Damaria Cannon for the 4-0 advantage.
- In the next frame, Goebel stepped to the plate with Makenzie Griffin on the bases where she sent a 1-0 pitch over the fence to shrink the lead to 4-2.
- In the sixth, UCF added two more runs on three hits to put the game out of reach.
