Tiffany Lower hit a walk-off double as North Florida softball grabbed a 3-2 win in nine innings against Jacksonville in the second game of the doubleheader on Sunday afternoon.
JU won the opening game, 2-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Jacksonville scored first in the opening frame when a UNF miscue allowed Makenzie Buss to score from third after reaching on a hit.
- North Florida answered in the second inning with a squeeze bunt from Paige Pfent to bring home Rindy Bryant.
- In the fourth, a solo shot from Serena Quinata gave the Dolphins all the offense they needed to secure the win.
- Bilodeau fanned 10 Ospreys to help Jacksonville snap a 16-game losing streak.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- With the game knotted, Dominica Cocuzza led off with a single to short left. Classmate Tiffany Lower then stepped to the plate to rip a deep double to left center to allow Cocuzza to come around and score the game-winning run.
- North Florida did not waste time to get on the board as Bryant brought home Navia Penrod who reached on a leadoff single. Penrod moved to second on a groundout and stole third.
- Quinata hit her second home run for JU in the series and this time with a runner on to make it a 2-1 game.
- JU held the lead until the bottom of the sixth when Veronika Klimplova hit an RBI double to center field.
- Morgan Blourne went to work in the first seven innings of play as she gave up just three hits in her first start since April 6.

NOTES
- North Florida got six Jacksonville runners trying to steal second base. The Ospreys got two in the first game and three in the second.
- The Ospreys had plenty of opportunities to score in game two as they left 11 people on base and outhit JU, 13-4.
- Cocuzza's three hits in game two was the first multi-hit game since April 6 against Kennesaw State.
- Blourne earned the starting nod in her first appearance since April 6. She fanned six batters with three walks.
- Clausen also pitched in the first game, surrendering just three hits and a walk with three strikeouts in 3.0 innings of work.
