- Chris Berry flew out to deep-right field in the first but in the third he hit one even better, blasting a solo shot to straight away right for a 2-0 lead.
- The lead expanded in the fourth. Maberry chopped a single up the middle and took second on a beautiful bunt single from Abraham Sequera. Blake Marabell walked to load the bags before Berry scored Maberry on an RBI groundout. Jay Prather hit a ringing RBI single to right, scoring Sequera and pushing FAMU starter Kyle Coleman from the game.
- FAMU broke up Deppermann's no-no and the shutout in the fifth. Kaycee Reese singled through the left side and moved to third on a double inside the third base bag off the bat of Seyjuan Lawrence. Brett Maxwell scored Reese one batter with a sacrifice fly to right on a lineout to Weeks.
- UNF scored four in the fifth, expanding the lead to 8-1. Alex Reynolds singled up the middle and took second on a wild pitch. Maberry walked and Sequera rolled an RBI single to right, allowing Reynolds to slide just under the tag of FAMU's Maxwell at home. Marabell mashed a three-run home run that landed on the batting cage roof in left to complete the scoring in the frame.
- Zach Chappell came into the game in the seventh, worked a one-two-three inning and wiggled out of a tense eighth, stranding the bags loaded.
- UNF made it 9-1 in the eighth. Weeks doubled to left and Reynolds plated him one batter later with a single to right.
- Logan Clayton allowed a leadoff double in the ninth but powered through with a pair of strikeouts and a groundout.
