JACKSONVILLE -  North Florida women's tennis closed out the regular season with a sweep over North Alabama on a warm Saturday afternoon at the UNF Tennis Complex. With the win, the Ospreys are guaranteed at least a share of the regular season title for its first championship since 2016.

The No. 2 pair of Florencia Rossi and Lucia Montano ran through their opponents with a 6-3 victory. In the No. 3 spot, Sean Lodzki and Kinga Gartner moved into the spot an posted a 7-5 win to give UNF the doubles victory. The No. 1 duo went unfinished, but led 6-5 when the point was clinched.

Singles was a sweep from top to bottom as UNF grabbed the shutout. Constanza Gorches continued her win streak with a 6-1, 6-0 win in the No. 5 spot before Montano won, 6-0, 6-3 at No. 2. Fittingly on senior day, it was senior Rafaela Gomez who clinched the match with her 6-0, 6-2 victory in the top spot.

Freshman Sean Lodzki picked up a 6-1, 6-1 win in six singles, while Valentina Mariotto surrendered just three games to move to 5-2 in ASUN play. The match wrapped up with freshman Ana Paula Melilo winning, 6-2, 6-3. 

North Florida finishes the regular season with a 15-7 overall mark and a 6-1 record in ASUN action. UNF earned a bye in the ASUN semifinals and shares at least a claim of the regular season title.
