JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - ECU won by tiebreaker to clinch doubles, but the Ospreys (5-8) roared back to win four singles matches to clip a strong East Carolina (11-3) program, 4-3, in match one of a five-match homestand at the UNF Tennis Complex March 6.

Coach Lucas' Comments:
"It was nice to see us come through in another tight match. We have been putting ourselves in position for the past six matches and we haven't come through in the end. Today was different, and I felt like we played with confidence today in those tight moments. ECU hasn't lost many times this year, so I was very proud of our resiliency even though we didn't play our best brand of tennis. Hopefully we can play with more passion, and have a bit more fun out there. I'm excited for next week against two great teams." -- Head coach
Matt Lucas.
Notes:
- UNF is 3-0 against the Pirates in a series that dates back to 2006.
- This is UNF's first win by a 4-3 margin this season.
- The last three matches have concluded, 4-3.
- Dominik Barton is 17-7 in singles this season and is coming off his second ASUN Men's Tennis Player of the Week laurel of the year and his career.
