CLEARWATER, Fla. - The North Florida pitching staff limited opponents to just four combined hits on the day as the Ospreys extended their win streak to seven with a 2-1 win against Butler and an 8-0 victory in five innings over Monmouth to close the second day of the USF Series.
UNF was last on a seven-game win streak in 2017. UNF won nine straight from March 14-March 22.

How it Happened:
- The Ospreys got on the board in the first inning thanks to a triple from Dominica Cocuzza.
- Over the next five innings, North Florida stranded 11 runners on base.
- In the top of the seventh, Butler's Elyse Babb, who had the only two hits for the Bulldogs, slammed a home run to even the game.
- North Florida answered in the bottom of the frame as Navia Penrod hit a single up the middle before Butler intentionally walked the next two batters.
- With the bases juiced and just one out, freshman Ashley Goebel stepped to the plate and placed a single in the outfield to score the game-winning run.
- Matzko allowed just three players to reach base.

How it Happened:
- North Florida plated three in the top of the third when three hit batters loaded the bases.
- A wild pitch scored the first run before Veronika Klimplova sent a single through the left side to plate two more for the 3-0 lead.
- The Ospreys then put a five-spot up the top of the fifth on three hits.
- North Florida put two on thanks to a walk and a single. Klimplova then hit a deep ball to shortstop and the Hawks failed to get the out at second to load the bases.
- Another hit batter made it 4-0 for UNF.
- Katelin Davis then singled through the right side to bring around two more runners and leave two in scoring position.
- The runners turned out the be the game-winning runs as Makenzie Griffin sailed a single up the middle for the 8-0 advantage.
- Monmouth got on base to threaten in the bottom of the fifth, but Blourne forced a ground out and fanned two batters to end the game.
