Inside the First Half
North Florida blasted out of the blocks, scoring the games first 10 points while holding the Hatters without a point for the first five minutes of the game. Stetson would make  back-to-back threes to slow the Osprey roll and eventually trimmed the deficit to a single point, 16-15, by the end of the quarter. SU closed the first period on a 9-2 surge.

Early in the second stanza, the two squads settled into a basket trading mode until an 8-0 spurt from the Hatters midway through half saw them build their largest lead of the game, 28-23, with 5:31 remaining until intermission. North Florida answered with its second 10-0 run of the night, turning a five-point deficit into a five-point advantage in just two minutes. Green started the rally with a jumper followed by back-to-back treys by Elli Bartley and Lauren Gross and then Purifoy capped things with a lay-up. After a Stetson basket, UNF closed the half with six more points to carry a 39-30 lead into halftime.

Inside the Second Half
The Ospreys scored the first four points of the second half highlighted by a jumper for Ariana Emanuel-Wright that was created by Purifoy's record-setting assist with 8:43 on the clock. The UNF lead would hover near double-figures for much of the third quarter. North Florida led 55-42 with 3:51 left in the quarter but would not score another point before the buzzer as the Hatters mounted a rally by scoring the final five points

The Stetson run expanded to 8-0 early in the final period until Emanuel-Wright dropped in a jumper two minutes into the action. Bond and Green followed with three-pointers and Emanuel-Wright added another bucket to push the Osprey lead back into double digts. Stetson pulled to within 10 at 67-57 before the Osprey put the game away with an 8-0 run keyed by five points from Green.

Thoughts From the Top
"Great win for our group. I thought we came out and executed well on both ends of the floor. We are excited about us continuing to press forward and get better. One thing we still have to address is rebounding the ball better and more consistently. We are shooting the ball well and they are doing a good job of making our in-game adjustments especially on the defensive end. We just have to get ready for our last one and go from there." - Head coach Darrick Gibbs.

What's Next
North Florida will close out its regular season ledger at home against NJIT on Tuesday, Mar. 5 at 7 p.m.
