Turning Point

North Florida used a 17-5 run in the third quarter to put the game out of reach for the Tigers. UNF was 7-for-8 from the floor and held EWC to just two field goals.

SWOOP of the Game
Senior Rhetta Moore hit double digits with a lay up to give North Florida (7-6) its biggest lead of the game, 65-35, in the fourth quarter.

INSIDE THE GAME
  • North Florida raced out to a 21-6 lead thanks to a 20-4 run. Edward Waters closed the gap with a little 4-0 run, but UNF ended the first with a pair of free throws to lead 25-10.
  • The second quarter was a different look for the Ospreys as they scored just nine points and shot 21 percent from the floor for a 34-19 lead at the break.
  • Edward Waters got to within 10 early in the third quarter, but UNF used a 19-7 stretch to put distance between the teams and never looked back.
  • The Ospreys shot 71 percent in the third quarter and outscored the visitors, 25-16.
  • In the final frame, the Ospreys took their biggest lead, 65-35, thanks to a layup from Moore.
  • Victoria Patrick hit a final three-pointer to give UNF 80 points for the second time in as many games.

Osprey Fast Breaks
  • With her 20 points, Jackson moves into seventh place in the UNF Division I record book with 743 points, passing former teammate Sierra Shepherd. She needs eight more to move into sixth.
  • North Florida finishes above .500 in non-conference play for just the second time in the DI era.
  • The Ospreys reached 80 or more points for eighth time under coach Gibbs and the 11th in the program's Division I history. UNF last had back-to-back wins with 80 or more points in 2016 vs. Webber (103) and FAU (95).
  • Jackson hit 20 or more points for the fourth time in her career and it is her first time recording back-to-back 20-point outings.
  • Green ties for sixth in the UNF record book with her 12 made free throws. She hit 11 against Alabama A&M earlier this season.
  • Patrick has now hit a three in the last four games she has appeared in. She missed four games due to an injury.

FROM THE TOP
"This was another good team win for this group. It's nice to end 2019 above .500 and on a two-game win streak. Janesha and Adrienne we're both great again today and we are going to need that to continue as we head into conference play." - head coach Darrick Gibbs.
