JACKSONVILLE - North Florida women's basketball hosts Warner in its home opener and lone game at UNF Arena in the month of November.
1. HOME OPENER
North Florida hosts Warner for the fifth straight season and is looking for its fourth straight home opening win under head coach
Darrick Gibbs. North Florida is 29-27 at UNF Arena under Gibbs and averages 65.7 ppg at home in the past four seasons.
2. LAST TIME OUT
UNF dropped its season opener to Wisconsin. The Ospreys closed within four, twice in the second half, but each time the Badgers had an answer. Redshirt
Tiffany Tolbert played in her first game since November 18, 2018. She had a game-high 20 points on 7-for-16 from the floor including three triples. Seniors
Janesha Green (16) and
Adrienne Jackson (10) each added double figure points.
3. GORDON 500

Alexis Gordon is just 33 points away from 500. She scored 263 as a freshman at FIU and then put up 198 as a sophomore. She opened the season with six points at Wisconsin.
4. HOME SICK
For the first time since 2006-07, North Florida opens its season with eight of nine games on the road or in neutral venues. The game against Warner is the lone one in the month of November. UNF is then gone from UNF Arena until December 28. Under Gibbs, UNF is 20-68 on the road and in neutral games.
5. SCOUTING WARNER
- This is an exhibition game for the Royals who are 1-1 on the season.
- Troi Grant leads the team with 19 ppg and is second with 6.5 boards per contest.
- D'Asia James leads the team off the glass with 7.0 rpg.
- The Royals are shooting 30.9 percent from the floor which is last in the Sun Conference (NAIA). They also struggle from long range with a 26.7 clip.
