FLORENCE, Ala. - Despite a 2-1 deficit and two match points in the hands of UNA, the Ospreys (15-17, 7-9 ASUN) roared back to take down the North Alabama Lions (4-25, 2-14 ASUN), 3-2, in the regular season finale Sunday, Nov. 17.
Taryn Griffey became the first UNF Division I player to notch 1,000 kills and 300 blocks while three season highs were tallied around the Ospreys' lineup.

Inside the Sets
- Set 1: UNF posted 15 kills while holding UNA to nine to take the first set … The Ospreys established a 15-9 advantage before a UNA run pushed the Ospreys to take a timeout … A late 4-0 run made it 22-17, fueling UNF's strong finish to the opening frame ... Cestero notched a set-high six kills and UNF held the Lions to just .125 hitting.
- Set 2: The Ospreys controlled the set almost all the way through but UNA went on a late 9-4 run to even the match … UNA took its first lead at 23-22, although Grace Youngblood and Cestero registered kills to put UNF ahead … A service error and consecutive UNA block assists gave the Lions the frame … Griffey reached the 1,000-career kill milestone in the second session.

- Set 4: Despite being down 7-1, UNF slowly mounted a comeback … Some timely play from Maddie Boyd and a huge set from Cestero allowed UNF to overturn the deficit and take a 20-18 advantage … A 2-0 spurt from UNA created another tie, but Griffey and Askew had consecutive block assists, putting UNF ahead, 22-20 … Down 23-22, a huge diving dig from Grace Youngblood down 23-22 saved the point and allowed UNF to tie things up … A block from Cestero prevented match point for UNA … After another match point was evaded, an ace, Cestero kill and UNA attack error completed the comeback.
- Set 5: Took a 6-1 lead to start the set to usher in a UNA timeout and the Ospreys never looked back … UNF had eight kills to only three for UNA … The Lions hit -.111 in the deciding set.
