HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Ospreys were on the attack early, posting a trio of shots in the opening five minutes
- UNF capitalized on its aggressive play, netting a goal in the 8th minute when Carmel Oliveira cleaned up a ball in the middle of the box and tucked it just inside the right post | The ball found Oliveira's foot after being pinged off the crossbar twice on shots from Hollyn Knight and Leah Ferlin
- The visitiing Lions nearly tallied the equalizer in the 29th minute as ASUN leading scorer Shelby Wall got behind the Osprey backline but saw her shot attempt glance harmlessly off the right post before being cleared out of danger by UNF's defense
- North Florida built an 11-2 shot advantage in the first half including five shots on goal
- Thais Reiss appeared to have added an insurance goal for the Ospreys in the 62nd minute, but was stymied by an offside call
- Wall put herself into scoring position again in the 65th minute but a late charge by a North Florida defender forced her shot attempt wide left
- Osprey keeper Rhiannon Conelley collected her lone save of the second half when she thwarted Wall's scoring opportunity in the 86th minute
- For the match, North Florida owned a 15-8 edge in shot attempts with Reiss leading the way with five shots

QUICK KICKS
- Oliveira netted her second goal of the season and tallied a point in her second consecutive match
- The assist by Ferlin marked the first of the season for her
- Conelley collected two saves en route to earning her fifth shutout of the year (16th of career)
- Ospreys remained undefeated in ASUN play thru four matches, marking the best start in program history
- UNF's current six-match undefeated stretch matches the program's D1 era record (also accomplished in 2018)
- The nine victories this season equals the second most in D1 program history (also in 2011, 2017) | Record is 11 victories in 2006

- UNF has scored a goal in 13 of 14 matches this season including each of their last five

- North Florida improved to 2-0 all-time against UNA

FAULCONER TALES
"We earned a critical three points in the conference race tonight. It definitely wasn't pretty at times, but we found a way to see it out. The one thing I like is that we are getting goals from different people each game. Tonight it was Carmel Oliveria who stepped up for us. Julia Martin did a lot of work in the midfield that won't show up in the box score and I thought Sara Delucca turned in a solid performance in the back line. We will now turn our focus to recovery and a big game on Sunday versus Lipscomb." - Head coach Eric Faulconer
