  • The Ospreys got the offense going in the third with three runs, starting with Penrod singling through the left side to bring home Rindy Bryant.
  • Dominica Cocuzza continued the offense with an RBI-single to bring home Penrod before a Tiffany Lower sacrifice fly made it 3-0.
  • The Cardinals quickly responded in the fourth with three runs of their own.
  • In the bottom of the fourth, Penrod put the Ospreys back out in front with an RBI-double that again scored Bryant to put UNF up 4-3.
  • Louisville was not finished though as the Cards hit two RBI singles to bring in a pair of runs and take the 5-4 win.

Game 2
  • Just three Ospreys made it into scoring position thanks to the solid pitching performance from Butler's Gabbi Schnaiter who scattered three hits in the contest.
  • UNF had its best chance in the third when the Ospreys got bases loaded, but Schnaiter got the foulout to get out of it.
  • Butler got on the board in the opening inning after a dropped fly ball allowed the Bulldogs to get a 1-0 lead.
  • The Bulldogs added a second run in the sixth off of an RBI single to give Butler a 2-0 shutout victory.
