NEWARK, N.J. - North Florida held NJIT to a mere -.008 hitting percentage with the help of 10 blocks and redshirt-sophomore
Gabby O'Connell turned in her ninth double-double of 2018 as the Ospreys (7-16, 2-5 ASUN) swept host NJIT (4-18, 2-6) Friday, Oct. 12.
The Highlanders' -.008 hitting percentage is the lowest-opponent hitting percentage since UNF held Alabama A&M to a -.022 mark Aug. 29, 2015.

Behind the Box Score
- The Ospreys came out of their eight-day break swinging well, hitting .333 to just .086 from NJIT to take the opening set. UNF gathered its first lead at 5-4 and never relinquished it or allowed the Highlanders to tie.
- Junior Taryn Griffey had part in four blocks, O'Connell had three kills and sophomore Devyn Wheeler posted two aces in UNF's big second-set win. NJIT hit a match-low -.125 in the second frame.
- A 13-3 Osprey run opened the final session and provided a substantial cushion, allowing UNF to stave off a late NJIT run. Up 21-9, NJIT scored 11 of the next 14 points, but O'Connell delivered the final blow with a kill to close the match and complete her double-double.
