JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida volleyball fell in four sets to NJIT in ASUN action on Friday at the Fleisher Athletic Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The teams tied the match at six-all before the Highlanders went on a 6-1 run to create some separation.
- The Ospreys got within 12-10, but NJIT kept its distance as the home team took the opening frame, 25-15. The Highlanders hit a match best .407 in the set and held UNF to just a .185 hitting percentage.
- It was a similar start to the second set as the teams knotted the score at 9-all which was one of six ties in the early part of the set. NJIT then sparked a 7-2 run to take a five point lead, 16-11.
- UNF responded with a 5-2 stretch to cut its deficit to just two at 18-16, however the set wouldn't get any closer as NJIT closed on a 7-3 run to take a 2-0 advantage in the match.
- The hosts got out to a fast start in the third set with a 5-2 run before the Ospreys went on a 7-1 run of their own to take a 9-6 lead.
- After NJIT tied it at 10 apiece, the Ospreys pushed their lead back out to 15-11. It wasn't enought to keep the Highlanders down as the teams knotted the score at 17 before UNF closed out the set with an 8-4 run to force a fourth frame.
- In the fourth stanza, the teams tied the score at 10 before NJIT went on a 7-2 streak to take a lead it never gave up.
- North Florida cut the advantage to three, 18-15, but the the Highlanders went on a 7-2 stretch to take the match.
