SPARTANBURG, S.C. - USC Upstate grabbed two wins against North Florida softball to close out the regular season on Sunday afternoon at Cyrill Stadium.

- Freshman Kayla McGory had another great outing with a 3-for-5 performance with two RBI and two runs scored.
- Sophomore Dominica Cocuzza was the lone Osprey to bring in runs in the second game as she recorded her fifth home run of the season.

GAME CAPSULE
Game 1
- After Upstate held a 1-0 lead when the game was called on Saturday, the Spartans continued to add to its lead with a run in the third and fourth for the 3-0 lead.
- North Florida got on the board with an RBI single from McGory who then came around to score when Cocuzza reached on an error.
- Spartan pitcher Holly McKinnon came in relief and sat the Ospreys down in order in the seventh inning before an RBI double scored the walk off run.
- Amanda Blanchard started the game with three runs, seven hits, one walk and a strikeout.
- Meghan Jeffrey got her first innings in the circle going 2.1 innings with one hit, one walk, one run and one strikeout.
Game 2
- USC Upstate struck first again in the final game of the series when a single through the right side brought a runner home.
- The Ospreys took the lead in the second with a two-run homer from Cocuzza, who sailed her longball over the left center fence. It would be the lone runs for UNF.
- The lead was short lived though as Upstate tacked on two more in the bottom of the frame. The first run came around to score on an error and put a runner on second.
- A single then allowed Megan Obier, who reached on the error to come around and give the home team the 3-2 lead.
- Upstate added one more run to its line in the sixth on a sacrifice fly for the 4-2 advantage.
- McKinnon and Lexi Shubert combined for 11 strikeouts on the day. It was just the sixth time this season that the Ospreys recorded double-figure strikeouts and the first time in ASUN play.

North Florida now heads to Nashville for the ASUN Tournament where it faces crosstown rival Jacksonville in game one on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
