The Short Story: The North Florida baseball team tied the game in the eighth inning before USC Upstate drew a hit by a pitch in the bottom of the ninth inning with the bases loaded to grab a 4-3 victory on Sunday at Harley Park.

LEADING OFF
- Upstate took the weekend series 2-1… The loss was the first ASUN series loss of the season for the Ospreys.
- Dalton Board was the only UNF player with multiple hits in the game, going 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored… Over the weekend, Board went 5-for-11 with four runs and one RBI, highlighted by a home run and a double.
- Chris Thibideau has hits in 18 of the last 21 games... Patrick Ervin
has reached base in 15 straight games he has played... Chris Berry has reached base in 41 of the 43 games he has played
- The Ospreys remain tied for first in the ASUN standings with rival Jacksonville.

HOW IT HAPPENED 
- Drake Harris singled to left field scoring Jake Bourke for the first run of the game in the second inning… Jordan Miller produced the fourth-straight single for the Spartans that plated Hunter Gilbert.
- Bourke extended the Spartans lead with a sacrifice fly to center field that scored J.J. Shimko in the third.
- Board led off the sixth inning with a single to left field before moving to second on a single to the right side from Blake Voyles. Mac Wilson laid down a sacrifice bunt that was thrown down the right field line by the Upstate catcher, allowing Board and Volyes to score.
- Board led off the eighth inning with a double that went off the right field wall. Yahir Gurrola tied the game with a single to left field that drove in Board.
- Russel Schwertfger got hit by pitch in the bottom of the ninth with the bases loaded that forced in Devon Ortiz for the winning run.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Ospreys play take to the road for their last road series of the season against Stetson starting 6 p.m. on Friday (May 12) in Deland, Fla.
