QUICK HITS
  • Blourne helped the Ospreys split the opening day of the series as she tossed a one-hit and three walk game with four strikeouts to move to 10-3 on the year.
  • Junior Ashley Niesman recorded a two-RBI single in game two and also had a triple for the day. Her triple was one of two hits in game one.
  • After a hitless first game, Macayla Kelley came back to hit two doubles in game two and bring in two runs, while Dominica Cocuzza also had two hits - both doubles - with two runs scored.
  • Lipscomb's Mandy Jordan allowed just two hits in the first game, while striking out nine.

GAME CAPSULE
Game 1
  • Lipscomb's offense exploded in the fourth inning, plating seven on five hits including two two-RBI home runs.
  • The Ospreys got on the board in the sixth thanks to a Jenna Brownell sac fly that brought in Taylor Aguayo who reached on an error.
  • The Bisons added another run in the bottom of that frame on an RBI double from Caitlin Plocheck.
  • Niesman and Casey Estes were the lone Ospreys to record hits against Jordan (19-7).
  • Logan Green (10-13) scattered nine hits with eight runs and six walks, while striking out one.

Game 2
  • In game two, North Florida got things started with a four-run first inning.
  • With back-to-back singles from Taylor Aguayo and Navia Penrod plus a sac bunt, the Ospreys had runners in scoring position. A Bison error loaded the bases before a Cocuzza walk brought one run in.
  • Another Lipscomb error allowed a run to score before a single down the line from Niesman brought in two runs for the early 4-0 lead.
  • Blourne allowed just one batter to reach second while also recording three straight outs in three innings in her third shut out of the season.
  • The Ospreys added one more run when back-to-back doubles allowed Cocuzza to score. She led off the inning before Kelley brought her around with a double of her own.
  • Despite being tagged with the loss, McCarley Thomas gave up just eight hits, two earned runs out of five and one walk, while striking out seven.

OUTSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- This is the first time that the Ospreys will be playing for the series win on the final day. The other two series were won with a sweep of day one.
- Cocuzza now leads the team with 13 doubles and is tied with Kayla McGory with 36 RBI.
- Jordan snapped Brownell's 17-game reach base streak.
- Niesman is now on a three-game hit streak - her longest of the season.
