NASHVILLE, Tenn. - North Florida softball split with Lipscomb thanks to a one-hitter from freshman pitcher Morgan Blourne as the Ospreys won 5-0 in game two. The Bisons took game one, 8-1.

- Blourne helped the Ospreys split the opening day of the series as she tossed a one-hit and three walk game with four strikeouts to move to 10-3 on the year.
- Junior Ashley Niesman recorded a two-RBI single in game two and also had a triple for the day. Her triple was one of two hits in game one.
- After a hitless first game, Macayla Kelley came back to hit two doubles in game two and bring in two runs, while Dominica Cocuzza also had two hits - both doubles - with two runs scored.
- Lipscomb's Mandy Jordan allowed just two hits in the first game, while striking out nine.

Game 1
- Lipscomb's offense exploded in the fourth inning, plating seven on five hits including two two-RBI home runs.
- The Ospreys got on the board in the sixth thanks to a Jenna Brownell sac fly that brought in Taylor Aguayo who reached on an error.
- The Bisons added another run in the bottom of that frame on an RBI double from Caitlin Plocheck.
- Niesman and Casey Estes were the lone Ospreys to record hits against Jordan (19-7).
- Logan Green (10-13) scattered nine hits with eight runs and six walks, while striking out one.
Game 2
- In game two, North Florida got things started with a four-run first inning.
- With back-to-back singles from Taylor Aguayo and Navia Penrod plus a sac bunt, the Ospreys had runners in scoring position. A Bison error loaded the bases before a Cocuzza walk brought one run in.
- Another Lipscomb error allowed a run to score before a single down the line from Niesman brought in two runs for the early 4-0 lead.
- Blourne allowed just one batter to reach second while also recording three straight outs in three innings in her third shut out of the season.
- The Ospreys added one more run when back-to-back doubles allowed Cocuzza to score. She led off the inning before Kelley brought her around with a double of her own.
- Despite being tagged with the loss, McCarley Thomas gave up just eight hits, two earned runs out of five and one walk, while striking out seven.
OUTSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- This is the first time that the Ospreys will be playing for the series win on the final day. The other two series were won with a sweep of day one.
- Cocuzza now leads the team with 13 doubles and is tied with
Kayla McGory with 36 RBI.
- Jordan snapped Brownell's 17-game reach base streak.
- Niesman is now on a three-game hit streak - her longest of the season.
